So during my photoshoot, last week, I wanted to try something new and here’s the result.  I wanted to create a modern bride type pose and at the sametime capture some of the moon up in the sky.   I like the way this picture came out and I’d like to make a few tweaks the next time I try it.

Okay, so I added the image above because it’s one of my favorite from the shoot last week, but here’s the problem, there’s another picture that is very close to this one, so I thought I would post them both, and get your opinion of which image you like best, think of it as election day!

Here’s an image I took last week, over the next week, I’m going to add a new image each day.  This is a typical wedding bridal portrait that I included with a Signature Level 1 Wedding Collection.  This portrait session gives you the ability to capture the beauty of your gown in a setting where your not worried about getting it dirty. If you like the idea of a trash the dress session,  but don’t really want to trash the dress, a bridal portrait is a great alternative.

Here is an image I took a few weeks ago at the Omni ChampionsGate Resort [Link]. Just before I captured this image, the two of them were clowning around and then he started laughing really hard and that’s when I captured this moment.

I was talking to a bride today about her upcoming wedding and I was explaining to her that one of the keys to creating a great image is to capture the actions that are occuring, but more importantly, you’ve got to capture the reactions to those actions. It’s these reactions that create the special moments that you want captured, it’s the difference between a great shot and a snapshot.  This is a great example of capturing a reaction and thus a moment.

That’s it for me, today I’m finishing up the Orlando Young Professional September Social pictures and I’m hoping to have them up tomorrow.  Talk to you then.

The event was held on August 20, 2009 at The Vintage Lounge in downtown Orlando.

Why not take your awesome engagement photo’s and have them printed into a custom guest book, so your guests can see these pictures. Gone from this book is the boring lines where guest sign their name, with this book, guest are encouraged to write a short message and words of wisdom.

Each page in the book is 10×10, and it is well constructed with a heavy duty spiral binding. I’m now including this book with all Signature I packages and with any full Engagement Session.

This place is an incredible place for a wedding.  There’s an number of incredible ballrooms for the perfect reception.  One of the second floor ballrooms has a fanstastic view and balcony of the golf course, while the downstairs ballrooms are adjacent to an awesome garden area.

The first two images were taken in the hallway downstairs, just outside the ballrooms.

Blue Jacket Park is located in the Baldwin Park area of Orlando, which for over 30 years served as the home of the Orlando Naval Training Center.  The park has several cool features which make it a great location for a photo shoot. From engagement photos to a bridal portrait, you can’t go wrong here.

Like most government agencies, the State of Florida is looking for every possible way to save money, so the Governor is not traveling with the State Photographer who would normally photograph the Governor’s activities for the State Archives.  So with the need to still document the Governor’s activities, the Governor’s office asked me to cover the event in Orlando.  Here are a few pictures from that event.

The press conference was held at McCoy Elementary School and the Governor was introduced by the School’s principal, Ruth Ortega.

Also in attendance and speaking at the Press Conference was Orange County Schools Superintendent, Ronald Blocker.

After the press conference, the Governor was rushed by the media and reporters were asking him questions regarding who he will appoint to the US Senate seat and questioning if the Governor would resign and then ask the Lt. Governor to appoint him to the Senate.  The answer to the last questions was a firm, “no.”

After the event, my family and I were able to spend about 3 minutes in the back room with the Governor, before he left for Tampa.  It was a fantastic opportunity and an honor to help the State of Florida record the event.  The next stop for the pictures, the State Archives and some of the pictures will be printed and autographed by the Governor.  These autographed pictures will be sent to the dignitaries in attendance that day.
